REBORNING
|
|
The art of reborning can be as varied as the artists practicing it. Here is an outline
of my basic reborning techniques. I am always trying new things to bring even more realism to my babies. 1. Disassemble the doll 2. Remove all original factory paint 3. Wash all the little parts and let them dry thoroughly 4. Micro-root the baby's new hair 5. Paint the interior and exterior to give the baby life-like skin tones 6. Blush the baby to bring out more detail and realism 7. Give the baby a sweet hair do, fitting his or her personality 8. Change the baby's factory eyes 9. Hand paint wispy baby eyebrows 10. On dolls that aren't rooted, add a new wig, trimmed especially for baby 11. Open the nose 12. Hand apply the baby's eyelashes 13. Detail baby's finger and toe nails to look life-like 14. Weight, stuff, and reassemble the baby with a new cloth body 15. Double-check to make sure everything is perfect for baby's new Mommy! |
